I started using Suno AI after seeing a social media influencer work with it. With a collection of my own lyrics ready, I wanted to see how the tool could integrate with my songwriting process.
Getting Started
I had plenty of lyrics available, so I began by mixing my words with the AI’s suggestions and adjusting until I got a sound that worked. It required a few tries, but the straightforward process helped me explore different musical ideas.
Experimenting with Sound
Suno AI performs well in mainstream pop and Western music. While it may not capture the nuances of niche or underground genres, it offers a practical way to overcome writer’s block. It’s also capable of generating fun, random songs that add an element of surprise to the creative process.

A Neutral Perspective
Suno AI is not a replacement for human musicians or a tool that redefines music. Instead, it serves as an additional resource—a means to experiment, generate ideas for background tracks, or simply try out new sounds. It has its place for certain applications, but it should be seen as one tool among many.
Below are a few of my creations that illustrate what Suno AI can do.
